Assemble Flat Packed Bed Frame

Remove heat mark from kitchen worktop
Our kitchen worktop had a mark due to a hot pan being placed on it which in turn left a mark on the surface. Wayne managed to remove almost 90% of the the mark, which is now barely visible.
Double ottoman bed assembly
Wayne was a nice person, but unfortunately there were scuff marks left on both sides of the brand new ottoman bed that we are unable to remove, after installation. The assembly took 7.5hrs (on arrival, we were told "This is straight forward & won't take long) & at one point we were informed the bed was broken, when infact some parts were not positioned correctly. Despite being more expensive than the other quotes, he was chosen as he had a current public liability insurance policy. However, apart from asking us to use a metal cleaner(?) or white spirit to try & remove the marks, there has been no offer to put right & stated the room was too small to install in, which I completely disagree with. I don't like writing bad reviews , however it's important that other people can see & make their own judgement. We were told "If we weren't happy, then not to pay" so, Wayne has not been paid for the assembly of the bed. We were so upset that a brand new bed is marked.
Maxaga Property ServicesPublic Liability Insurance is MANDATORY for ALL traders within "Myjobquote". Traders are not permitted to operate within the auspices of this site without PLI cover. That the client (More than once) alluded to my status on this matter made me supercautious toward performing this task as my gut-feeling was that everything would be examined minutely in order that a claim might be considered against me, should the smallest fault be found and I consequently assembled everything with great care and attention to the instruction-manual. The manual instructed that the bed should be assembled on (or as near as possible) to the final place of use within the room in order that the assembly would not be overstressed by moving it into position post assembly. this I did but having done so, room for the assembly of the rest of the frame was limited. The assembly was done correctly from the start. The lifting mechanism was initially very stiff and seemed not to operate but the client did ultimately manage to get it to work themselves without further adjustment whereas I was reluctant to use too much force for fear of breaking it. The client has stated that I was not her cheapest offer but frankly, At £60 for completion, and all after a 35 mile round trip on a Sunday, Only "mates-rates" would have been cheaper than that. The trouble with mates however is that when you screw them over, they will no longer be amenable to you. I forgave the client my paltry £60 fee as she was evidently more in need of making a saving than I am of making a living. I thought this would have been sufficient in goodwill toward her but evidently not so, as witnessed by her mean-spirited review for which I thank her very much.

Flat Pack Furniture Assembly
Although my job was relatively small, changing the setting on a kingsize bed frame, Wayne completed it promptly and with far less upheaval than I expected. He came promptly and was cheerful and unflapable. I am very happy to recommend him. Robert Parker
