Internal Painting & Decorating
Sadly my husband and I were very disappointed with Mr Elliott, he started working on our lounge on the 24th January, the job was to strip and prepare 2 walls for papering and to emulsion 3 walls plus ceiling. When he visited us to give us a quotation he estimated 4 1/2 days work, at this stage he didn't mention any medical problems. He was with us for the next 10 days during which he had 3 half days off, 1 was to attend a medical appointment and the other 2 were for leisure activities, also he arrived late 2 mornings as he had to take his wife places. In our view he was very much a PART TIME worker which again he didn't mention before he started. Consequently 'after 10 days with us we only had one coat on ceiling and walls, door frames and skirting glossed, no paper at all. On Monday 7th January when he came, we told him that we weren't satisfied with the progress and therefore would finish the job ourselves to hurry things along as we had a workman waiting to fit a laminate floor the following week. With regard to the hallway, we are also doing that ourselves. I would also like to mention that he requested the full amount of £700 plus materials even though the job wasn't by any means completed. Unfortunately this was a very bad experience for us and hope that it could maybe warn other clients and save them a lot of stress.
