The fence post work was completed to a reasonable standard and he was polite throughout. However, the gate would not close correctly once the job was finished. The tops of the new fence posts were also left untrimmed, leaving the work unfinished. I paid in full in good faith based on photos provided as its my buy to let property. He said he would return to fix the issues, but despite following up politely over a couple of weeks, he did not come back and the problems were never resolved. Overall, part of the work was acceptable, but the job was not fully completed or left in a finished state.

Curtis Tyler was prompt and seemed polite and pleasant. However, he proved to be very unreliable and devious. He made two external doors and hung one, securing it with an ill fitting bolt. I had paid him 50% deposit (£280). He then told me he needed wood to replace the frame of the second door so ., as I was going out I settled the whole amount by bank transfer( foolish thing to do) This was on Monday 8th June. Despite numerous phone calls and texts over the next week he has not returned or replied. The second door is still unhung, neither door has been weather treated, only one bolt ( crooked) has been fitted and the old door has been left on the side of our property despite the fact I have paid him to dispose of the old doors. He has had some good reviews which seem suspiciously similar, and a few bad ones citing similar experiences to mine. I have discovered subsequently that the phone number he gave me is now dead . This man is clearly not trustworthy and has taken advantage of two elderly , ill people .

I really wanted to like Curtis, but I have to say I was really let down by his service. My job was simple: mow the garden, weed the patio & driveway and take all the waste. The garden was very overgrown, but not unmanageable - 3-5 hours work with the right tools. After nearly no work was able to be completed on the first day because his mower broke (which was clearly not the right tool for the job) he asked me to pay upfront so he could go buy a new one which I did. He then came back over an hour later with a strimmer which he wasn't able to use as it's cord wasn't long enough to reach the garden. Once he came back on the second day with an extension lead, he used the strimmer on the garden and sprayed chemicals on the weeds. He didn't take any of the waste with him (or if he did, it certainly wasn't noticeable) and insisted it was fine to leave there as it would "die off" in a few days - which even if true, is not what the job description was. I am now left with a garden where the grass is not even close to being the correct length, a bunch of waste that I now have to deal with all when I was told by him that the job wouldn't be an issue and that he'd have to quote me a bit higher specifically for the amount of waste. He got frustrated with me when I said I wasn't going to pay him the full quote (as the work had not been completed) and I am very unhappy with the result. The garden is untidy, covered in cut grass and not even cut to the correct length that I asked for. I really wanted to get on well and have a good service but I feel like I've been taken advantage of and had to pay a good sum of money for a job that is significantly sub-par whilst interacting with someone who, I must admit, was quite unprofessional both in conduct and ability.

Functional but not the best finish. The hatch does the job, however the overall workmanship could have been better. The latch is misaligned and not fitted straight, and the sealant work is uneven and messy in places. I asked for a weatherproof removable hatch and was quoted £300 in total. While it is functional, I would have expected a much neater and more professional finish for the price.

Please do not use this guy! He doesn’t know what he’s doing and also robbed my Nan of £270. He was supposed to replace our locks as the door wasn’t closing. He also suggested new door handles which we’ve never received and paid for. He came back to look at the door charged my 81 year old Nan more money and the door was still not locking and closing. We’ve had to source another locksmith who has confirmed this guy is a con artist and doesn’t know what he’s doing, please, please, don’t use him. He also doesn’t get back to you when you call him. Should be ashamed of himself!

Quick, short, simple and efficient.

Excellent work. Curtis was extremely hard working and conscientious and skilled. He dismantled the shed with care and consideration. He was friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend him.
