Lamona Oven Not Heating Repair
STAY WELL AWAY — £170 paid upfront, no repair carried out, months of delays. I found JWP Appliances through MyJobQuote and instructed James Prentice to repair a Lamona oven in Bedford in July 2026. He charged £80 for an initial visit and requested another £90 upfront for replacement parts. Although he attended to diagnose the problem, he never completed the agreed repair or successfully fitted the replacement parts. Once I had paid £170, I was left repeatedly chasing him to complete the work. Numerous appointments were cancelled, postponed or missed, requiring constant rearrangements with my tenants. Eventually, he admitted that the replacement switch he had obtained was incorrect. After more than two months, I cancelled the arrangement and requested a refund. He initially refused to return the service charge, and I had to send a formal Letter Before Claim. Following further negotiations, I recovered £125 on 17 October 2026, losing £45 and still having an unrepaired oven. My advice: be extremely cautious about paying this tradesman in advance. My experience was that, once he had received payment, I was left waiting through repeated delays without the repair being completed. I would not recommend him.

I re ordered and your tenant was nit available on two occasions to return When you first booked via this site I called you and went to the house within an hour but im not perfect and it did take time longer than hoped so I apologise
