Quoted to fit (only, I was supplying materials) an en suite in May and I paid a 25% part payment (£532.50) the day the work was due to be completed (13th June) Liam states his mother was in hospital; due to this I didn’t pressurise for a new date but did state if he wasn’t able to complete the work at this time then could he just refund the part payment. A lot of chasing went on during this period for updates. Liam then suggested a new date (15th July) this date no longer worked for me as I now have my own matters to deal with so just asked for my money back. Liam ignored this message (5th July) and blocked my number. On the 7th July my husband rang from his phone and it went through; Liam advised me it would take 10 business days for the money to be returned. I didn’t contact Liam during this time but it is now 25th July (15 business days later) Liam has blocked mine and my husband number from calling and what’s app, he has not provided an update on when the funds will be returned. I now have to report this matter to the relevant parties when I just wanted this resolving amicably.
