Half Wallpaper, Half Paint Room
This tradesperson reached out for the work from the job request I had put out and it sounded like he was good for the job so we were happy to move ahead. Unfortunately, due to a delay in the wallpaper arriving it took a while to confirm the dates, however we did settle on a date for the work to be done and at that point we agreed on a deposit to be paid so he felt confident he definitely had the work, which I promptly paid. On three separate occasions, the tradesperson let me down last minute by not showing up, on 2 occasions with no notice until I chased him. At that point, I asked him to refund me the deposit as he hadn't completed the work which is when he began ignoring my calls and messages. My deposit was never returned, a fraud report was made to my bank to try to recover the funds and a complaint was made to Action Fraud. If you don't want to lose money and actually get a job done, do not hire this person.
