Install Wall Mounted Pergolux
I hired Mark Jonathan Wilk to install a Pergolux with 3x4 sliding glass doors. We discussed the project, and we agreed to move forward. He provided quotes of £2,000 to remove the existing slabs and build a 750x850mm concrete base, plus an additional £500 for the installation of the Pergolux with my assistance. We agreed to complete the project by November 18. I paid him £1,800 on November 1, and work was supposed to start on November 2, but he did not show up. After a few days, he came and worked for one hour to remove the slabs. Two days later, he returned to prepare the base for the concrete, and on a third visit, he came with someone to pour the concrete. However, he left my backyard messy, with no space to walk. A skip was never provided, and he used a plastic sheet to dump all the debris and rubbish in front of my house. I asked him to tidy up the backyard after each work session, but he left debris, slabs, and wood everywhere, making it difficult for my wife to dry baby clothes and take out the bins. I have messaged and called him multiple times, but I have received no response or answers, only apologies for the inconvenience. This situation is unacceptable, and as of today, November 24, the project remains incomplete. I am now looking for another builder to finish the work. Additionally, I have reported these issues to Trading Standards via Citizens Advice for investigation and to seek a refund of the remaining balance. Watch out for this guy
