Flat Roof Repair and Insulation
We paid Henry a £1,500 deposit for a roofing job quoted at £3,900. He attended for less than a full day, and the work left the roof in a significantly worse condition than before. This led to substantial water ingress and damage to the area he worked on. There were serious concerns about site safety and conduct. A member of the team was seen urinating on the van in full view of the street. A ladder was left unsecured on a pitched roof during high winds, materials were thrown from height with no apparent concern for neighbouring property, and an extension lead was left trailing from the roof and still plugged into an internal socket, preventing us from closing the door. The site was left in an unsafe and untidy condition during stormy weather, which was especially worrying given the terraced setting. Henry cancelled work scheduled for Monday, citing a personal emergency. He then failed to attend on Wednesday as arranged, later claiming his van, phone, and keys had all been locked. With no further updates and worsening weather, we had to bring in another roofing team by Thursday to secure the exposed structure and prevent additional damage. On Tuesday, Henry requested a further £1,200 for extra materials, which we paid in good faith. This brought our total payment to £2,700. However, we were not provided with any receipts, a breakdown of costs, or a refund for unused materials as promised. Based on our assessment, only a small amount of OSB board and insulation were used, and the charges do not appear proportionate to the labour and materials provided. We cannot recommend this trader based on our experience and would advise others to exercise caution and carry out thorough checks before proceeding.

Unblock and clean gutters urgently
Quick response to my advert and reasonably priced. Good advise and option of more costly and longer term solution or immediate fix. I opted for the latter and this was done the same afternoon. All good - no further leak :-)! Happy with the service received and with the friendly, competent manner.

Pitched Roof Tile Replacement
My small roof tile job turned out to be much larger. Henry Chamber, the roofer took images and showed me what needed doing. He also repaired a small guttering problem. He is also, depending on written quote and insurance docs, coming back next week to make new my broken chimney breast.
