Install Contemporary Wooden Garden Fence
Georghii came to the house and we talked through the job (fence sitting atop or on our side of our garden wall). I sent photos of what I wanted it to look like. As soon as I paid 50% deposit he changed the brief and started from scratch with cheaper fence panels giving me new options. The next day he turned up and dug massive holes in my garden for fence posts depsite discussing the building of the fence on the wall itself with a black cloth backing. A day later I then received a phone call pressuring me into making decisions because he said he was driving to Leeds to get the fence panels that day and was en route. He arrived at my house that evening with concrete pillars for the holes, which would have heavily restricted our side access. Again, we had discussed that the fence needed to be affixed to wall. He then said he could build a fence as we had initially discussed but increased the quote by 26% - we again discussed how the fence would look. The next day he put up the panels- no black coth backing and he used planks which are not weather treated at all sorts of angles to affix the fence to the wall. The fence slats do not match and nails stick out all over the place; it looks messy and uneven. At each step he would promise something and change the position; from scope, to number in his team to type of materials used. He communicated through chatgpt texts because he said his English was not good enough. When he left he left the concrete pillars; they collectively wiegh a ton. He told me that he would collect them within the week after I said I had not accepted them because they were concrete and blocked the side access. needless to say its been lost a month and they are still there. Totally unacceptable.

At the start, the agreed design included standard fence panels with concrete posts installed into the ground. After work had already begun and materials were purchased following your 50% deposit, you changed the plan several times and requested the fence to be fixed directly onto the wall instead. This required additional materials such as extra timber, wall brackets, anchors, fixings and additional labour, which is why the price increased after the deposit — only to cover the extra materials and revised installation method. Regarding the concrete posts: these were purchased specifically for your project based on the original agreement. Later you decided you no longer wanted them and asked me to dispose of them as waste. As these were client-approved materials bought for your job, waste removal was not part of the agreed scope, and I am not a waste collection service. The fence installation itself was completed and delivered as requested under the revised plan. I always aim to work professionally and adapt to client changes where possible. For these reasons, I respectfully believe this review does not accurately reflect the full situation or the agreed changes during the project. I kindly ask MyJobQuote to review this case and consider removing or reassessing this review, as the work was completed and the pricing adjustments were due to client-requested changes after materials had already been purchased.
