Replace Shed Roof Felt Covering
I didn’t like that he quoted me for heavy duty roofing felt & instead got the cheapest felt available. Fortunately I spotted the low quality felt in time and to be fair, he did change it for a good quality one, but he would have gone ahead with the cheap stuff if I hadn’t have noticed.

The shed was in very poor condition, with significant rot to the roof and fascias, and parts of the structure were already failing. I explained at the time that regardless of whether a standard felt or a 15-year guaranteed felt was used, it would not change the overall lifespan due to the condition of the shed itself. During our conversation, you also mentioned that you were only planning to remain at the property for a couple more years, so the work carried out was intended as a practical, short-term repair rather than a full replacement. We also discussed that, in the longer term, replacing the shed would likely be the better option. The material I supplied was appropriate for that type of repair, and as soon as you requested a higher-grade felt, I replaced it without hesitation to ensure you were satisfied. I also carried out additional minor repairs at no extra cost to help improve things as much as possible. For these reasons, I do feel the rating is a little unfair, but I appreciate your feedback and wish you all the best.

Assemble Flat Pack Double Wardrobe
Clive, helped by his lovely daughter, came to assemble a 2 door sliding wardrobe for me today. Clive was met with many challenges, including design flaws and cheap fixings, but armed with his little bag of tricks (spare parts!) and his knowledge, he was able to work round them. This meant the job took him so much longer than anticipated but he remained upbeat throughout and it really mattered to him that he did the best job possible. Would definitely use Clive again and would thoroughly recommend him to anyone.

Assemble Partially Built Dresser
Clive has done a very good job on a rubbish flat pack dresser. He did his best to make a “Silk purse out of a sows ear” as they say . Felt quite sorry for him really, the pack had wrong pieces and damaged pieces but he has done a good job of fixing it. Thank you .
