Wael turned up promptly. He was very thorough and professional and explained the problem clearly. He cleared the blocked pipe and tested it carefully afterwards to check the washing machine was running okay. He also did some helpful additions such as capping an outside pipe and fitted a more up to date connection to the machine to help better mitigate. Very personable and polite - would definitely recommend.
