In order to stay fit and active in retirement I registered with a leads based .com last year looking for gardening work local to Wolverhampton. I got work but I had to pay for every lead for which I got shortlisted for by customers. Only the successful tradesman gets the job, which means that the .com can get paid multiple times for every lead it posts as customers often shortlist many and are encouraged by the .com to do so.
I found that I was paying out quite a lot so I decided to try myjobquote instead. I only work locally because I haul my equipment around with me on a trailer attached to my electric bicycle, which is very ecofriendly.
When last winter came and the gardening work ceased, I diversified and began to do flatpack assembly and many other kinds of jobs associated with the handyman trade.
Before I retired I taught English in an FE college in Wolverhampton and before that I taught vocational skills (mainly P&D) in Walsall. Naturally, all my insurances are up to date.
