Install Toilet Fill and Flush Valves
Did a thorough job and got everything sorted after some issues with the parts (not his fault, parts were bought in advance). Came the same day as posting the job too, which was hugely appreciated. Would use again.
Install Under Sink Water Filter System
I hired this plumber through MyJobQuote last year to install a Doulton HIS push-fit under-sink water filter system. Unfortunately, I later discovered two significant problems with the installation. First, he did not install an isolation valve, which means that every time the filter cartridge needs replacing, I have to turn off the property’s main water supply instead of simply shutting off the water locally. More seriously, he failed to remove the protective plastic wrapping from inside the filter housing before installing the cartridge. As a result, the water was effectively being filtered through a plastic bag, which reduced the effectiveness of the system and completely undermined one of the main reasons for installing a water filter in the first place: reducing contaminants, including microplastics. This was a very basic but serious installation error that remained unnoticed for a long time. I would not recommend this plumber for water-filter installation work.
