Old Fuse Box Replacement
tldr; poor communication, didnt install fuse board properly, had to callout different company to finish the job. I needed to replace old fuse board because i failed EICR. I have communicated this over email what I need and gave information on what is wrong with old board (old, plastic, had open connection, no rcd installed). Master came in and installed box. Had to come twice because they didnt have fillers for empty spaces. (Which were plastic and it is hazardous). Told me that EICR is not what i need and they could give me EIS instead. I had to re-order EICR from a different place. Inspector came in and failed EICR again - fuse box had no main RCD nor bathroom RCD. I dont know how they were able to provide even EIS - having RCD is necessary by laws. I was definitely taken advantage of - not knowing what good/bad about fuse board is. At least i did my due diligence on EIS&EICR - otherwise i wouldnt have known info is not correct too. I had to pay 2 extra EICR callouts, and 1 callout to install RCDs into fuse board at a different company.
