    Posted job on myjobquote after another firm trying to rip me off. After posting the job, Robert contacted me within 30 minutes and we negotiated a very reasonable price. Robert went above and beyond to ensure our new boiler was fitted, and fitted it and did it all on our terms and convenience which is important when you work in the NHS. Robert changed some of the components free of charge as we didn't have them and fitted the boiler to a very high standard (we purchased our own boiler). He was very clean and brought all his own sheets with him and didn't leave any mess. He even took the old boiler away. We didn't have the right thermostat, so he has offered to come back next week and fit it free if charge which is very kind. No pressure, he is very polite and didn't give you that typical rude rip off feeling you get with most tradesmen. Would 100% recommend and will be using him again.

    Costal heating services. • 4th August 2019 Posted job on my job quote I.d number 21919-9HG7 • 15th August met at property • 31st August received written quote for work accepted with start date end Oct completion no later 20th Dec. To work along property rewiring. • 1st Nov meeting at property with coastal heating & electrical both agreed that all parties could undertake work in the property at the same time. House keys passed on. • 4th Nov agreed for work to start. • 11th Nov no work had been started. Requested for water tank to be drained down imminently due to condition of house insurance. • 22nd Nov tank drained down and had stated radiators would be taken off • 25th Nov coastal heating requested £2,600 part payment for materials. Reason for request materials had been on his account since 4th Nov and they had another job similar to mine running alongside. • 26th Nov money transferred into Robert emms account • 26th Nov was going to remove radiators. • 9th Dec requested gas fire to be removed and capped. Reply I’m up against it • 17th Dec I requested date for fire to be removed. Delaying other work in property. • Reply going Fri morning worked every day this month, one. Brake down after another. Robert asked when would the plasterers would be finished, which I didn’t know. Robert’s reply ‘it’s not like I’m short of work" • 2nd Jan I spoke with Robert regarding start date and completion date of work. The original. And agreed completion date of 20th Dec had now passed. Told by Robert it would be 6th Jan. I stipulated that the job was now urgent. Robert said the start date had been delayed due to boiler breakdowns. • 13th Jan no work had been started I rung him and asked if he was still able and willing to undertake installation of new heating system & bathroom, which he replied yes. I stressed that I need a definite start date as the previous start dates never happened all due to boiler breakdowns. Robert gave his word that work would definitely start on the 16th Jan. • 16th Jan. No work started at the property. I rung Robert and he gave the reason as his brakes on his van had failed. I notified him verbally and in writing that I no longer required him to carry out the work as I had lost confidence with his company. • 16th Jan in writing I stated that I require the keys for the property to be returned within 24hrs and £2,000 to be refunded into my bank account within 7days. I had allowed £300 for labour costs due to work that he had carried out so far (draining system down, discounting fire & radiators) no materials had been brought on site 16th Jan Robert replied that he would drop the keys off when he was next in York and the money would be in my bank account the following week I replied to Robert stating it was unsatisfactory dropping the keys off. I stated I required them within 24hrs and for them to be sent by recorded post and for the tracking number to be passed onto myself • 21st Jan No keys contacted Robert his reason was he hadn’t been in the office. I did state that I would start legal proceedings • 22nd Jan no keys or money refunded Solicitors instructed

    Coastal Heating Services reply: Most of this is a lie due to not being able to start due to plastering wanting doing and I had to come from hospital and leave my son to collect keys as job was to commence on the Monday but not informed until I arrived at the property that I would be having to wait for plastering so I could not start when agreed, plasterers still there on the Friday before Christmas and not finished so I had to then wait again, I will drop the keys off when I am in York and I am currently waiting for a refund of the materials as I am in dispute over how much restocking charge I am having to pay due to the materials being loaded on the wagon when the job was cancelled
