Garage Conversion
The Garage Conversion started on time and completed in 10 weeks instead of 3 weeks (Maximum). Initially we confirmed that we are going with Build Reg, and the Builder agreed. Because of Building Reg involved we at least got the Minimum Standard and lot of rework. Still as the Builder forgot to put Roof Vents,its still outstanding. But the builder was keen on Money and charged us extra for every job the Building Inspector corrected. We should appreciate the builder for taking his time and completing the job.
Cheshire Plastering and Building ServicesJust to clarify I the builder lost money on this job due to factors inside my control and factors outside of it. Firstly I followed building control on every detail which meant some items had to be done differently to what is the usual way of doing said items ie the floor so the price had to reflect it the customer paid an additional 1300 on the job of which there was no profit made for me it just covered the additional work the inspector required. As for the ventilation I followed building controls instructions and unfortunately when I came to do the ventilation I discovered it could not be done the way they required it and somehow that is then my problem. I actually spoke to an architect friend of mine and he advised a way to do the work but the customer would not pay to have him supply the detail. As I explained to the customers halfway through the job I knew I would make a loss and even at that point they wanted extra work doing for nothing many builders would have cut and run but I don't work like that so a bit disappointed with the rating really.
Plaster Skimming
Turned up a day late for job & so delayed the electrician by a day.Poor finish to ceiling.Had to rush off to another job so didn't have time to clean up after himself.We were generally disappointed with the whole experience
Cheshire Plastering and Building ServicesTotal nonsense spent 4 hours coating an artex ceiling with minimum of 4 coats. Didn't delay anybody as I was having a good chat with your dad who was doing the work for you. Everything was covered in bathroom I scraped and brushed the floor which was being tiled as was the walls so unsure what the issue there was didn't rush off anywhere. If there was a problem a phone call would have been nice and I would have sorted any issues out. Obviously your one of those customers that likes to have a moan without giving people a chance to defend themselves if there was an issue I would have liked to know as this is my livelihood so think I deserve a chance to appease customers before feedback like this is posted I could send u a list as long as my arm of repeat customers.
Chimney Building / Repair
So Far I would recommend them. They'v hit a small problem and they are tackling it. Their quote was more than 20% cheaper than the other two quotes.
Plaster Skimming
Cheshire plastering services gave me a very good quote, but more importantly they completed the job 2 days later. The team arrived on time and got stuck in. They completed the job to a high standard and tidied up after themselves. I would use this firm again and would reccommend them to others.
