Relocate Bathroom Window
I needed a window removing from the bathroom and moving to another wall, the gap needed bricking up/closing and obviously the wall where the window would be relocated to would need cutting out to fit the window. Thomas has taken all the money and failed to return and compete the job. He has continued to ignore my calls and messages. Part of the work he has completed has been to a really poor standard. The window now fails to open because he has laid the rendering on far too thick on the outside walls, not to mention he’s used the wrong colour. He has placed the window lintel unevenly. He was never on time and didn’t turn up on several times altogether. He failed to understand the simple job of matching the window surrounds to the existing exterior of the house. We have been left with an unsightly exterior, our neighbours have commented on how poor it looks. Thomas told me he has cleaned up the mess following the rendering; what he failed to mention was he placed all the debris and loose chipping into our green bin instead of disposing correctly. Unfortunately we have been left with the task of disposing this correctly as the bin men will not take this. He had the audacity to ask for more money to rent ladders to come back and fix issues, I naively paid him the extra; he has ignored me ever since the additional payment. He doesn’t have a work van either which is pretty unusual for a builder, his excuse being it was in the garage and that he would be collecting it the following day - the following day he would have no van. Avoid at all costs. Cowboy workmanship.
