Chimney Silicone Rendering Repair
My bungalow was suffering from moisture ingress and penetrating damp around the chimney stack. The majority of the property had been rendered with KRend about 8 years ago. On inspection it was clear attention was required to the pointing and flaunching. I decided to carry out remedial work and then match the KRend applied to the rest of the property. Three quotes were received. Two did not use the full KRend specification and included a sand:cement base coat. This will stop the damp but may result in salts transferring into the KRend topcoat spoiling the finish. I accepted Alan's quote which followed the full KRend specification and the results are tremendous. Excellent job carried out professionally and on budget/schedule. Photographs available on request. he took my ceiling down in my bedroom and replaced it , and reborded and plastered my small bedroom and did the same to my living room ceiling, I'm very happy with the work he did.
