Extremely disappointing experience from partway through the job right through to the end. The workmanship has been poor, the work has been left unfinished and untidy, and the overall standard is completely unacceptable. What started off as a seemingly professional service has turned into an absolute nightmare. I paid a deposit and, stupidly, paid the remaining balance of the invoice in good faith, trusting that he would finish the job properly and return to put right the issues he had left behind. I gave him that trust, and I have been left regretting it. He specifically told me he would return today to sort everything out. Did he turn up? **No.** Instead, he has blocked my number and ignored my messages, leaving me with unfinished work, no resolution and **MY MONEY in his pocket.** I find this absolutely disgraceful. What makes this situation even worse is that I have been nothing but kind, patient and reasonable throughout. I have given him every opportunity to communicate with me and put things right. I have not asked for anything unreasonable; I simply expect the work I have paid for to be completed to an acceptable standard. Apparently, even that is too much to ask. At the beginning, he was pleasant, responsive and communicated well. He asked the right questions, gained my trust, and I allowed him to get on with the job believing he knew what he was doing. However, once the work started going wrong, the communication deteriorated, the job was left in a poor state, and now I cannot even get a response. **It is very easy to appear professional when securing a job and getting paid; the real test is whether you take responsibility when things go wrong.** I have now involved my legal representative to explore the appropriate next steps and hopefully get this matter resolved. I have photographic evidence, text messages and the invoice to support my account of what has happened. I have documented evidence of the work left behind, the communication, the payment made and the promises to return. **This is not simply a case of being unhappy with a job. This is about paying for work that has not been finished properly, being promised that the issues would be addressed, and then being ignored and blocked when I have already paid in full.** I would strongly advise anyone considering using this tradesman to think very carefully before proceeding. Document everything, keep all evidence, and **do not make the mistake I made of paying the full balance before you are completely satisfied that the work has been finished properly.** A professional tradesman should take pride in his workmanship, communicate honestly, honour his commitments and take responsibility for the service he provides. In my experience, those basic standards have not been met. I am extremely disappointed that a situation that could have been resolved through basic communication and accountability has been allowed to reach this point. I have been fair, I have been patient, and I have given him the opportunity to put things right. **Being blocked and ignored after paying for an unfinished job is, in my opinion, an appalling way to treat a paying customer.** I would not use this service again based on my experience, and I sincerely wish I had never paid the final invoice before the work was properly completed.

Paid deposit . Turned up on day, then walked off site without talking to me and sent e mail saying he wanted twice the agreed amount. I have asked for deposit back , but not received and no further communications.

Completed part of the job and not all as originally quoted. Causing more expenditure for myself. Otherwise job completed was ok, but would have use better anchors than screws for shelves.

The carpenter, Alex, that came to do the job in my kitchen, damaged my countertop when removing my sink. After the work had finished, he didn’t clean the mess up properly, e.g. sand papering the exposed wood surface or cleaning up the saw dust left from cutting the wooden area, and tried to leave without showing me the work he had done. When I asked for him to come back to repair the damage to avoid me having to pay getting it fixed on the outer area, he refused and sent a me a rude message regarding it, telling me my plumber can do it even though that’s not what a plumber’s profession is. Overall, the work done was rushed and could’ve been preventable had Alex had removed the sink with proper tools. Not impressed with his attitude and how he handled removing my sink.

Great work from Alex, a pleasure to deal with, great communication, turned-up on time , did the job with a smile, no fuss. Good chap
