Covid-19 Update

As you’re aware, the UK is experiencing severe implications for everyday activity surrounding the Covid-19 outbreak. We wanted to update you as to how this may affect you using our service.

Information for Homeowners

  • When posting a job, try to communicate via phone, facetime or email before agreeing to have work completed.
  • If you NEED to have a job completed, then consider both the safety of you and the tradesperson you hire.
  • Don’t be offended if trades wish to operate in isolation to solve your problem; this is likely for safety reasons and not because they’re impolite.
  • If you’re considering a larger job, plan out all the details remotely, if possible, and book in the work for a later date once it’s safe to do so.

Information for Trades

  • Be understanding that customers may wish to take extra precautions when hiring trades at this challenging time.
  • Use technology such as facetime or video calling to assess jobs remotely before quoting.
  • Plan work for the future where the customer is not comfortable with having the job completed immediately.
  • If you’re working, consider how you can limit close contact with the customer, for example, bringing your own food and drink and maintaining social distancing as advised.

We’re doing everything we can to continue the connection between homeowners and local tradespeople in a safe and sensible manner. If you have any questions regarding this issue, or anything else, then please don’t hesitate to contact us via the website and one of our team will assist you.

Finally, we aren’t medical experts and advise you to follow the official NHS and Government advice, which is being updated continuously from day-to-day. You can find out more at: https://gov.uk/coronavirus.

Please stay safe and be considerate.
