As a self-employed painter and decorator, I am responsible for providing high-quality painting, decorating, and finishing services to residential and commercial clients. My work involves preparing surfaces for painting, applying paint and other finishes, stairwells ,doors and windows and ensuring the final result meets client specifications and expectations. I manage all aspects of the job, from initial consultation and cost estimation to completing the work on time and within budget.
Key responsibilities include:
Client Consultation: Meeting with clients to discuss their needs, providing help on colour schemes and finishes, and provide accurate quotations.
Surface Preparation: Cleaning, sanding, and priming surfaces to ensure the best possible result.
Painting and Decorating: Applying paints, stains, varnishes, and professional techniques to achieve a flawless finish.
Time Management: Managing schedules effectively to complete projects efficiently, while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Quality Control: Ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard, with attention to detail, and making any necessary adjustments to meet client expectations.
Health and Safety: Following industry health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment, including the proper use of equipment and protective gear.
Business Management: Handling administrative tasks such as invoicing, bookkeeping, and marketing to attract new clients and maintain a profitable business.
