I didn’t dream of becoming a carpenter. It just sort of happened… and then, unfortunately, I turned out to be quite good at it.
With no grand plan and not many other options, I picked up the tools, cracked on, and somehow made a career out of it.
Years later, I’m still here — still measuring twice, still cutting once, and still wondering how the hell this became my job.
The truth is, I might be the Accidental Carpenter, but there’s nothing accidental about the workmanship.
I take pride in doing a proper job, fixing what needs fixing, building what needs building, and leaving things looking like I actually knew what I was doing all along.
The Accidental Carpenter — didn’t choose the trade. Just got stuck with it and got bloody good at it.
