My skills and abilities are that I can communicate well with people, but I am sure as I learn I will gain confidence and this course would allow me an opportunity to prove my skills, I am very friendly especially when I am enjoying my work i tend to approach more people to help or support. In high school I done activities that gave me a chance to develop skills such as leadership skills which was when I was taking part in Duke of Edinburgh, I needed to lead my team whilst working out the route through a map, my listening skills are good I can take down notes whilst someone is talking. I can work long hours and under pressure. I focused and observant when it comes to work. My personal skills are that I am funny but not good at jokes, I am very patient and can control myself as something bad or stressful happens because I don’t want the matter to drag and be solved straight away, I may be a little emotional, my first priority is to help, support and make everyone comfortable around me. I achieved my bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award, my First Aid award, and learnt how to treat people with minor injuries. I also did my work experience at a collage which I was helping elderly people who lack in speaking English, doing group activities, filling in forms, and working as the receptionist.
