Arrived late due to an overunning previous job otherwise no problem.

Patrick, fitted 2 internal spotlights and 2 external security lights. We agreed a date for the work and it was completed on time. Excellent workmanship and service at a fair price. I will use Taylor Electrical for future work.

Patrick provided a quote by telephone prior to arriving based on the description and photos I posted on this site. Upon arrival we discussed the fine detail of how I wanted the finished job to look and Patrick carried out the work exactly as I requested. A very neat job at a competitive price. Would I employ him again? Yes without question.

Patrick said that the job would take him one day to complete. We required sockets, lights to be changed in all the house. He came in on a Saturday at 9:50, being late. I showed him what he was supposed to do then he went to Screwfix to buy some tools. He came back and started to work for one hour and a half and then he decided to take his break. After his break he came back and constantly he was on his phone, watching videos on Youtube and messaging rather than focusing on his work. He created a mess in the house, he didn’t use any covers for dust on the carpets, the house was looking like a construction site. He required to get some wires from the loft and in the loft he took out the insulation roll and never put it back and he messed up the light in the loft which is no longer working now. We asked him to change the sockets and the lights in all the rooms upstairs and downstairs. He hasn’t managed to finish any room, he started with all the rooms upstairs, created a mess but each room has only 1 socket and light changed, the rest still waiting for the job to be completed. Downstairs he hasn’t managed to complete the work, he only was able to change the fuse box which the new electrician confirmed that was installed incorrectly and dangerous to be used. He ‘finished’ his bits on that day saying that he will be back on Wednesday after 2 PM. At 2:15 I called him, he was saying that he has a job to complete, and he will come over. I was asking him what time he can get to us he said he wasn’t able to say a time as he doesn’t know how long it is going to take him to complete the actual job. He has never called me back and the amount of work that was left behind is huge. He spent 8 hours on Saturday, but he was only working 2-3 hours, the rest of the time was spent either on his mobile, constant trips to his van, to the shops, breaks etc. At the end of the day, he requested to be paid for the whole job, it was my mistake paying him in full and not having the job completed. He works very miserable, the amount of garbage that he left behind was massive. I really don’t understand the reviews that he had before but probably these were for small jobs, changing a single socket. Be careful with this guy , he doesn’t know what he is doing, he is lazy. I would give him 0 star, please avoid him as much as possible
