It all starts with our experienced architect consultation, from which a survey will be undertaken, and we can liaise with council planning, providing the required structural drawings and any information required. We listen closely to your ideas and requirements and make professional recommendations based on our many years of experience.

With you every step of the way

We work closely with our clients to ensure clear communications, total understanding, and transparency. We have three basic steps that we follow: -

Stage 1 - Feasibility & Survey.

We will start by surveying the area around your property. Once surveyed, we will explore a series of options and recommendations. We will generate a feasibility study and ideas plan (in PDF format) for you to review. This stage will give you an idea of the look and feel of the scheme in plan format.

We will then have a meeting to discuss any changes you may have and look at options, working towards a plan that meets your vision and criteria.

Stage 2 - Planning Application Drawings.

A series of drawings will need to be submitted for planning. Once the stage 1 layout is agreed we will submit a planning package which will include proposed plans and elevations of the area of the building being developed. It is vital that this is as accurate as possible so that nothing is left to chance.

We will also act as the agent for the application and fill out all the forms necessary to validate the application. We will be monitoring and liaising with the planners regularly throughout the planning process, and give you updates as is necessary.

Stage 3 - Building Regulations Drawings.

Once planning approval is achieved, a more detailed package of drawing information will be required to submit to building control, and this is also what is provided to the contractor. This will show wall, floor, and roof build-ups with a detailed section and elevation at a larger scale.

A structural engineer will be appointed to calculate the necessary structure and foundations required. We will liaise and organise this all for you ensuring it complies with all legal regulations. Again, as with every aspect, attention to detail and great experience pays dividends here.

The Build.

We literally start from the ground upwards, with all necessary groundworks and foundations, and working our way upwards, to build your dream extension, loft, or garage conversion. We also undertake completely new builds and refurbishments. We undertake all the required finishing touches, so you have an end-to-end complete service.
