External Cellar Wall Cement Rendering
I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and dissatisfaction with the cement rendering work performed at my property, specifically on the 1.5-meter wide by 6-foot long wall. Despite the simplicity of this job, the results were entirely unacceptable and failed to meet even basic industry standards. To detail the numerous issues: * **Improper Mix and Waste:** It was evident that the sand and cement were not mixed correctly, resulting in a significant amount of the mixture becoming a "puddle" on the floor, indicating a fundamental lack of understanding of basic rendering techniques and leading to unnecessary waste. * **Unfinished and Uneven Render:** The wall was not actually rendered to a finished state. The application was highly inconsistent, and the surface was far from smooth. * **Terrible Leveling:** The leveling of the wall render was extremely poor, resulting in an uneven and unprofessional finish that is visually unappealing and structurally questionable. In essence, the work performed failed in every single aspect of cement rendering. Furthermore, upon his departure, "Rowland" left behind all the debris and "junk" from the job, leaving us to deal with the clean-up of the poorly executed work and the waste material. Considering the completely substandard quality of the work and the significant issues outlined above, we did not make any payment for this job. While we acknowledge that he traveled approximately 37 miles to our location, the complete failure to deliver a competent service meant that payment was unwarranted. We are now left with a wall that requires proper rendering, and the cost and inconvenience of rectifying this shoddy work will fall upon us.
