Really don’t like to leave bad reviews, but I had been waiting for work to be completed, which I’ve paid for. Job ad response from Rob on 3rd Sept. I purchased a bath (using measurements he gave me after he popped out to measure). He quoted £50 to replace the bath. Bath arrived on 6th Sept and Rob came over to carry out the work. He removed the old bath then discovered the measurements were wrong so he’d need to remove some wood from the frame. The 2 hour job became the whole day. He said I’d need new tiles on the top as they were broken, and offered to do the tiling too for £30. That evening I asked my partner to transfer over £100, with extra for him having to coming back again. We already had an existing leak from the split in the bath, which became worse when the old bath was removed/new one put in. As Rob left that evening a large section of the kitchen ceiling collapsed. Rob did come over immediately when I texted him and checked nothing was loose. We then had another leak after clearing an air lock in hot water tap, (which is why I’m now looking for a plasterer) and Rob popped over to tighten up some bolts that had come loose. He was due to finish the work on 10th Sept, and stick down the new tiles on one area. He said to drop him a message and he’d pop over to do the grouting and bring his tile cutter for the other part which needed tiling. He also said he’d get rid of our old bath for us, which I offered to pay for but he said it was fine. I messaged him on the 19th Sept, and 21st Sept and my partner messaged him on 23rd. To date he’s ignored messages and calls haven’t gone through. So our bathroom is still barely usable from a month ago, and we still have the old bath sitting in our back garden. Due to very ill health, I’ve been unable to make alternative arrangements so it’s taken until now for me to try and get closure on it.

Rob agreed to a like for like repair which was not done. The sealant that was used did not adhere to the wall. He charged me for the basin pedestal and plughole, but only replaced the basin. One of the pipes is leaking now also. I’ve tried to contact him multiple times for an explanations but have not had a written or verbal reply.
