Pro Plastering Services is a small but expanding family run business. I have worked hard over the years to build my reputation in the local area and I am proud to say that my business is growing rapidly. My business is based on two very important areas, the quality of my work and the customer service that I provide.
Quality of work
All of the work that I undertake is finished to the highest of standards, my vast knowledge and experience means that I am able to provide a high quality finish on all of my work and that I am able to offer sound and reliable advice to customers. I am a quick but careful worker paying attention to detail to ensure that you as a customer receive a great job for a great price.
Customer Service
I pride myself on the quality of customer service that I provide. Honesty, reliability and a friendly service are at the heart of my business. As a husband and father of two children, I understand that undertaking building and maintenance work in your home can be a disruptive experience and so I always ensure that I work alongside my customers keeping them informed of timescales and plans of work I am undertaking. I am always mindful that I am working in your personal space and so I do my best to keep your home as clean as possible and to meet the timescales that we agree. Please see the “testimonials†tab above for quotes and recommendations from previous customers. Skimming – provides a perfectly flat, smooth finish to a wall or ceiling. This perfect finish means that when you redecorate your room you have a high quality, modern look.
Bonding - an undercoat to skimming, used when walls or ceilings have been extensively worn or damaged.
Over boarding – plasterboard screwed to the joists of your current ceiling, securing your ceiling and providing a base from which to “skim†(see above).
Replacing ceilings – if ceilings are bowing or are excessively damaged they may need to be taken down and replaced, this is done by removing the current ceiling and replacing it with new plasterboard. This new base is then followed by a coat of skim.
Constructing stud walls – an internal, partition wall constructed out of timber.
Dry walling - walls constructed of plasterboard (usually used on stud walls, see above).
Dot and dabing – attaching plasterboard to a current wall. Usually undertaken in bathrooms to straighten and square off the room providing a good base for tiling, or skimming and tiling.
Rendering – Sand and cement mixed with a waterproofing liquid. Render is used on outside brick walls and on internal walls that have been taken back to brick work in order to provide a waterproof and damp poof seal.
