Northern Decorating, bricklaying and flooring services is a small family business that offers over 26 Years experience as a level 2 qualified Decorator, 30 years as a professional level 2 fully Qualified bricklayer as well as roughly 20 years laying flooring, we are fully insured and give a 12 month guarantee on all work carried out. We’re committed to providing the highest quality possible.
My qualifications can be shown on request, I take my qualifications and skills very seriously and work to a very high standard for affordable prices, turning houses into homes across the North East.

Unprofessional finish
Northern Decorating, bricklaying and flooringI’d not generally respond to such a pathetic comment, with no explanation, Andy made it impossible , expecting me to hang wallpaper in the snow, yes the snow, it was a tiny little porch that was not big enough for my pasting table, without heating, basically pointless, any how, I carried on lining the shed, sorry porch with my lining paper as I’m a professional, though Andy had no idea what it was for, using my paste too pasting in his tiny yard in the snow, it was horrific, I had to plug in my own fan heater so the paper could be hung as well as filler, oh yes, I filled popped nail holes sanded and painted with my own white paint the ceiling, this was done for free as to do a professional job you need to paint the ceiling, the next day, the family continuously 5 ish people kept coming and going through the porch opening the door ripping their own paper, I carried on, pasting in the snow, not one cup of anything hot, after 12 hours on the second day I began running out of paper as to keep the match round the doors and windows uses lots of paper, so I pieced some pieces in, I discussed this with Andy and at this point he wanted me to hang paper in another room, he was happy at this point, so I told Andy when I come back in 2 weeks I will make good of my work if he gets another roll of paper, there was also some bits that needed glued, peeled back and stuck down, but it was 9pm snowing, pitch black and freezing, I couldn’t feel my finger tips, and we decided I’d do that once back, the next morning at 7am he sent me a message saying it’s an unprofessional finish. I said immediately I’d come and sort it that day but he did not reply, give me no chance to make him happy, The most unprofessional thing I done was the job, 20 hours work, my filler, white emulsion for the ceiling, oil based satinwood on the skirtings, lining paper, wall paper paste, glue, 2 days of fuel all for £400 cash. I’m almost 50 and I’m a qualified decorator, have been for 30 years.
