Hired Kevin and his son to remove coving and repair the walls. They were both polite, but unfortunately the overall experience, specifically with Kevin’s workmanship, was incredibly disappointing. Four months later, I am still shocked at how poor the finish is. The walls are uneven, scrim tape is visible, there are gouges throughout, and the area of blown-out plaster they “repaired” had to be ripped out entirely because of the large cavity and warped surface left behind. Kevin did warn us that removing coving would damage the paint, which I expected, having removed it myself in another room. But there was absolutely no attempt to remove it cleanly. Instead of scoring a neat line, the paint was torn straight off the walls. Bent screws and wall plugs were plastered over, and there are holes and gaps where plaster was simply missed. We also asked for a noticeable gap between the walls and the flat roof ceiling to be fixed, but after he put scrim tape over it, the gap reappeared within 48 hours, as though nothing had been repaired at all. The lack of basic care was honestly astonishing. At one point he wiped up a small damp patch using our bathroom hand towels, which says enough about the general attitude toward the job. When we messaged him afterward, he came across as a bit confrontational and kept bringing up the paint damage as if that explained everything. It did not. The issue was never the paint. It was the lack of care, the rushed approach, and the overall poor quality of the work. Since then, several other tradespeople we have had in to look at the walls have commented on how badly the job was done, which unfortunately only confirmed our concerns. To be fair, the pricing was reasonable, and he did offer to come back and fix the work. But after seeing the standard of the original job, I have no interest in letting him try again. We are now arranging for someone else to redo everything properly.

Plastered our bathroom ceiling, did a great job at a very competitive price. Left everything clean and tidy. Would highly recommend Kevin.

Kevin and his son Lucas re- pebbledashed an external wall to over come a damp problem we were having. The work was conducted over two days to a very high standard ad left our property clean and tidy. Kevin made several helpful suggestions to overcome minor hurdles that arose as the work progressed but the original fee was held. Kevin and Lucas are friendly, polite and thoughtful. It was a delight to have them around working for us. If you are considering KC plastering you'll not be disappointed if you hire them.
