Hi, we just spoke on the phone about me applying for a job with you guys, here is a little more information about myself and i know its cheeky but a young lad that i've worked with for the last 3 years who also got laid off.
Anyway, I'm Jack, a 31 YO who has 12 years of experience within carpentry, I have my own van and own all the tools a chippy needs. I have a level 3 NVQ in carpentry and am able to read technical drawings. I am more than capable of performing to a high standard of work no matter the time line. The work I can produce involves all aspects of carpentry i.e 1st and 2nd fix (Not done too many kitchens but I am able to do them, it's just not something I really did in the previous company).
I also have some experience in labouring for brick layers, doing plasterboard/insulation and throughout my apprenticeship i worked with a general builder so was digging footings to then painting also. Im more than willing to give anything a go.
I do have some photos of my work if you'd like me to send them over.
I am very hard working and always looking for overtime if there is any, more than willing to work weekends also!
Previous work I have done has involved doing new builds on a site that takes a little more care than being on price work and site bashing to doing extensions and various jobs involving all aspects of carpentry!
I would also like to recommend another carpenter that I've worked with for the last 3 years who is very reliable always the first on site since he started with me. Hard working and picks up on anything very quickly on whatever hes doing! He's younger than me but very willing to learn, he also has a level 2 or 3 NVQ in carpentry. He has a driving licence, basic tools you need as a carpenter and is still growing his tool selection! He is able to carry out all 2nd fix confidently, and also very comfortable with 1st fix. The only thing he isn't too comfortable with is stairs but he is building on this
