Electrical Safety Certificate for Flat
I called for a electric certificate but nothing was explained that he would charge the whole amount even if it didn't pass. When I questioned about it I was met with hostility. Another electrician finished the job and came to have a look free of charge and explained all the costs involved. Much better communication.
Electricure LtdHi Zameer, I have evidence confirming that I quoted you for the electrical report, as discussed over the phone, and that I sent you written confirmation by text message days before arriving at the property. You agreed to the price before I arrived. However, once it became apparent that the report had failed due to live cables being located near the shower plus other reasons, you asked me to carry out the work for half the agreed price so that you would have more money available for the remedial works. I do not consider this to be fair or acceptable, as the price had already been agreed in advance. The outcome of the report does not change the agreed fee for my work, and it would be unreasonable for me to be expected to take a financial loss to cover the cost of remedial works. I hope this clarifies the situation and makes my position clear.
