About
I joined a college in 1984 in Plymouth, Devon, where I was awarded a City & Guilds in Brickwork.
After college I subsequently spent 17 years on new build projects in and around Devon.
I then moved to London in 1997, where I spent 5 years on tall city buildings.
I then discovered, conversions and refurbishments in and around the capital which I found much more rewarding and have mixed up both types of work ever since.
While doing refurbishments it is common to be let down by different trades and this is what gives rise to doing different facets of the project and this is why after nearly 40 years I'm able to do many different works with in a given project, to a good/high standard.
Because of the CSCS safety scheme, in 2014 I had to update my qualifications from City & Guilds to NVQ2 Brickwork, at Harlow college, which if required, can be viewed.
Me and my family are now based in the City of Southend On Sea (since 2007) where I have also worked on many, new buildings and refurbishments.
Until now (May 2022), I have always been employed by many construction companys and now I change again, to start out a fresh as a new local company and am looking forward to offering my skills as an independent trader with a new customer base.
