Repair Or Replace Loose Fence Post
Really don’t like leaving negative reviews but not a professional job at all & I got chased for payment by text 2 hours after & told he wanted to arrange to come & remove the fence post if I didn’t pay today despite me telling him I was going to pay in full (which I did) & me not being happy with the job at all. Came round to quote for the job & agreed for him to source a new post. Apparently I have a fence which isn’t used much with notched posts but he texted me to confirm he sourced one. Turned up on the day & after digging the new hole discovered the fence post he sorted was wrong. Ended up with a square post which in fairness will probably do the job but used a load of random bent brackets to secure the new post to existing fence. He did offer to come back & fit proper L brackets but this should have been done. Screws rammed in at angles & some splitting the wood on the edge of the post, patio slab surrounding where the new post is looks like it was cut with a blunt chisel. Overall it’ll probably do the job & it’s stopped the fence from eventually blowing over which is good but a really poor job. Real shame as I know they’ve had some good reviews so i got unlucky on this one & got charged full quote price.
