External Painting - Wall
Stewart and his mate arrived to paint our house and after one attempt where they stayed for about an hour, they then left due to light rainfall. They returned a week later, starte (then I had to go to work) and when I returned, they had just left having badly painted about a very small amount of the walls; but in the process, had spilt paint on the ground in various places, splashed the windows with paint and left my back gate open too, which created a security risk. I trusted them to do the job they had promised and was shocked and deeply disappointed to find they had just left having made a mess of the property. There was no contact as to what was happening, and they never apologised or called me to explain why they had decided to abort the job and go home. I was really confused as to what happened, as it didn't make sense that they would just leave for no apparent reason; but the most frustrating part, was that we wouldn't have bothered to paint the house had they not agreed to do it. After they had left the place in such a bad state, with random areas having been partially painted, we then had to try to paint it ourselves, as otherwise it looked a total mess. We couldn't find, or afford, another tradesman to finish it, so we incurred a massive job ourselves that we had not wanted to undertake and wasted lots of time. It is the first time I had ever asked anyone to do anything at the property for us, and so I was really looking forward to it all looking smart for once - I was so disappointed when I saw what a mess they had made. I wonder now if they had any intention of finishing the project at all.

Garden Maintenance
Stewart was extremely pleasant, we changed the plans for the doors, but Stewart went out of his way to sort out the problems and finish the job completely. I would definitely employ him again should the need arise

Internal Painting
Stewart decorated three rooms for us - two double bedrooms and a lounge. He was great to work with - very easy going and hard working. He only came in over my original budget as we asked him to stay on and do more work. Really happy with the job and will be using him again.
