Domestic House Cleaning
Pauline initially quoted the job based on the number of rooms/bathrooms I had provided in the request. However, I had informed her that the house is fairly spacious and would be best to come and look for herself so she is not undercharging. She informed me of the £35 call out charge if we didnt decide to go with her and came over. Following her visit, she came back with a higher quote (nearly twice the original quote) and given the house was very dirty, we agreed a price. Once the job had started the following morning, Pauline informed us an hour into the job that we would be paying the cancellation fee on top (strange because a cancellation fee should be applicable for when people cancel!). Given that the job had already started, I had to accept it but I would recommend others to check before they agree. The general work was to a decent standard, although we did find a few scratches in the windows from them being scrubbed too much.

It is important for all customers to understand that we do not charge a "cancellation" fee, however, we charge a "call out fee" on some jobs if required. In this particular case, your call-out fee would not be discounted as discussed due to the fact you had a discount on the overall cleaning cost itself. I hope this reply not only helps you to under the charge but also helps any potential customers that would like to use our service.
