Solid Timber Flooring
Darren has been an excellent find as on top of his own personal skills and enthusiasm, he has a number of equally reliable contacts to assist him to overcome a number of previous construction issues. We posted this advert as we needed an engineered floor of approximately 100 sq mts to get laid, but firstly he advised us to employ a firm to self -level the area, which he organised and supervised. Then he suggested that the kitchen be fitted before the flooring, so he found us an excellent fitter at short notice and again supervised that task. Finally, while on site, he has also managed to fit 15 internal cottage style doors including new knobs and catches and has now completed the Oak flooring and skirting. He is staying with us for a few weeks longer fitting a 30m fence and gates before staring on and expanse of over 200 sq mts of larch cladding to the outside of our latest extension. I will finish with just one example of his attention to detail, as our final finished floor was going to be 2mm higher than our Panoramic door threshold, which would have niggled us, so he trimmed the underside of the flooring so it seamlessly met the threshold perfectly. Darren is proud of his workmanship and is a really nice and tidy guy to have working in your home or on outside projects. A really genuine chap worth 5 stars.
