Solid Timber Flooring
The top-quality-solid oak (20x140x500-1900mm) floor fitting of 38 square metres for the living/dining room and hall way was to be carried out for agreed price by 2 person-team on 2 days for £550 including waste disposal. With a late start on Day 1, the fitter came and worked solo despite his earlier statement to come with a colleague. One of the things among many that annoyed us, the retired professionals, he had ignored our expressed preference for not using planks with very bad-looking knots. He did fit a plank with an ugly irregular-shaped knot (7cm long x2 cm wide with black filling), close to a door entrance while we were not around watching. The whole project cost around £2100 including the material (£1575) and fitting+ 1/2 waste disposal (£525). He could have done a perfect job if he was not tired and not under time pressure.

Solid Timber Flooring
Floor work was done nicely, even helped with fitting in a couple of doors, but rushed the lock in the bathroom so it doesn't lock properly.
