My name is Dan and I specialise in mounting of TVs (any size) and flat pack furniture. No job is to big and I will always be more than happy to provide you with a quote for any work you need completing to a professional standard. My limits do not end there. Painting/decorating, carpet fitting and changing of electrical sockets/lights are just a few of the jobs I can complete for you.

Screeding
As a customer I was ripped off by "DB Home Improvements". The person in question goes by the name of Dan. Prior to the work, he gave me his word he could carry out the screeding job I needed FROM THE PICTURES ALONE! Even though I requested multiple times for him to visit the site, he said it was okay and that he's "seen worst". He then asked me to pay a £150 deposit, not mentioning that it is "non-refundable". When he visited the site with his father (who seemed like a decent bloke), Dan ums and arrs and says he can't do the job because of XYZ reason. He doesn't mention at all that he said he could go off the pictures like he said and refused to return my deposit. I even tried to be reasonable and was going to offer his fuel cost but refused to compromise at all. He then was completely rude and cut me off the phone. I thought I could trust him since he had a 5-star review and he sounded genuine, but it turns out, you can’t leave a review for tradesmen that do not do the job. I’ve had to get the platform involved. This was our first house project and since Dan was a “handyman”, I thought I could refer him to many of my family members who are renovating. I’ve decided not to give him any business. In my culture, our word means everything! Because Dan is not a man of his word, he will not have access to my network for any business. I’ve learnt an important lesson. If a tradesperson like Dan, EVER ASKS YOU FOR DEPOSIT/MONEY NEVER GIVE IT TO THEM UNTIL THEY'VE DONE THEIR JOB! Dan has lived up to the stereotype of a typical tradesman despite having a "5 star review" and has made my home improvement project a big lesson learned!

DB Home ImprovementsThe job was not as described. The deposit was to cover some of the cost of materials so why would it be refunded to you? The job needed other work completed properly by your other trades people before I could even start my job. When I was at the property you was happy with all my advice given and was also happy to get your trades people back in to finish there job and then to call me back once the job is actually ready. You rang me the next day saying your other bloke is now doing the whole job so I’m no longer needed. I decided not to refund you your deposit as I had to purchase materials prior to your job and you also decided to go with someone else for the job. Why would you get your deposit back? The advice and support I gave you alone is worth a lot more than £150 so you should be thankful you had that.
Laminate Flooring
Quoted 3 times for the work +cost of flooring, whereas we had two quotes for a fraction of the amount (including the cost of the flooring), which has been completed to an incredibly high standard. Quite was provided without viewing the work that needed doing. Upon politely declining this quote, I got an incredibly rude response. Will not consider for any future work.

Dan is a very professional and friendly tradesman. He assembled our King size bed all by himself in a small time frame whilst delivering a quality job. I will be using him next time to mount the TV in the living room. I strongly recommend him!
