  • Painting older plaster

Is there a paint type primer or something I can paint older plaster to help hide minor imperfections (I’ll fill/sand and smooth as much as I can first) before painting a dark paint colour? I don’t want to use lining paper. Cheers 👍🏻

Due to some recent building work at my home, some cement that was being mixed on my pavement has now left the pavement by my property discoloured. So far I cannot remove it. Nothing I have tried has had any effect so far! Is there any way to remove this effectively?

My roof has been altered without permission

Hi. I live in a semi-detached house and share a roof with my neighbour. My neighbour has a new roof fitted and they replaced my tiles without asking me. They have used different tiles which appear to be a different colour than mine (orange). Again no-one has asked me about this. Also, there appears to be a massive gap now between the tiles on my roof and tiles on my next-door neighbours. What should I do??

Should I use Fungicidal wash for the external house walls?

Hello, My house has had intermittent problems with mould in the past years and recently we have been planning to repaint the outside of the house. A friend has suggested using a fungicidal wash before repainting the house to get rid of any remaining mould there may be. I know this can be quite strong stuff, so I am hesitant to use it if it’s not required. Has anyone had any experience of using a fungicidal wash on the external walls of houses? Additionally, any specific brands or other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
